Expedition 30
Hell's Antechamber
- The party exited the rope winch elevator and followed fire chalk markings through the dungeon.
- They encountered a Kobold work crew and bribed them off for information.
- Along the way, Eerwin and Julieta uncovered a long locked case. Over a couple tries and the help of Durg, Eerwin lockpicks and opens the lock case. Inside was a silver dwarf axe and 200 gold coins of a long lost era. Durg stopped a poison needle from killing her, saving her life.
- An orc checkpoint stops them but with Morgan’s fine speech, they trade the axe for save passage and some questions. They end up buying a human from them (A merchant named Carlyle that Morgan was tasked to recover) and hearing that the Kobold Market was in the south east quadrant of the first level of the dungeon. The Contested Corridors
- Reinheld and 4 dwarves were found in a cave system about to deal with three goblins. The party jumped in on the action. The three goblins are dealt with and Reinheld offered the party 1000gp to help them recover their scrivener “Snorri” from the Orcs nearby. He had a map of the first level of the dungeon.
- The party convinced Reinheld to hold back his frontal assault and instead talked with the Orcs due to their recent trade.
- Meanwhile, Juilieta fed rations to three crab spiders closing in on them, keeping them away.
- Morgan negotiated a deal to buy Snorri for 100gp (good reaction roll!) and they went back to the rope wench with Reinheld. Route Back
- Along the way, a giant toad nearly swallowed Juiliata, but the band skewers it to death. Juilieta gathers the saliva from the beast for her arrows, giving them a numbing quality.
- At the wench, Durg talks wtih Reinheld about the recennt dwarf dictatorship and Greedo screwing him over with a recent deal. Reinheld is intrigued and waits till the end to head up.
- A critical success caused Greedo’s owl familiar to cut the rope once Reinheld was almost at the top and he fell to his death.
