Cost of Living: 1gp x HD for each day.
- Bill tells of how his experience fighting and killing has maade him want to become a better and more legendary example for his 8 grandchildren. He now has 2 HD
- Midnight told of his experience learning how to fight in the bandit raid and decided to completely change his method to something more effective. He now has 2 HD.
- Morgan trained in his polearm fighting gaining the defensive stance skill. He also put 418gp in the vault. Before their expedition, he gave his will to Greedo for a good funeral and pass on of wealth.
- Greedo learned how to summon a Familiar from Dagunn. The first summoning was a small, decrepit derp owl, but Dagunn assured him he will become more owl-like and stronger each time he is resummoned.
- Üthred performed a funeral for Sneaky and mourned tearfully in the woods by Fourtower for a week. He bought a Bottle Alchemist fire, 2 Healing Tonics, and a 1gp face bandana.
- Grandpa Bill made 7 wooden toys which he sold for a gold coin each and spent the rest of his time dreaming of a flaming sword.
- Midnight sold his Scary Helmet, Crossbow, and shield 10gp to then buy two hand axes and a longbow.
- Wispo purchased an Alchemy kit form Dagunn and made a bone-setting potion with ancient snake men bone dust. Keeps bones in tact for 6 turns (not flesh).
Expedition 23
Tuesday of the 9th week of Winter. Overcast.
Objective: Secure the Ghost Beggar’s hideout.
The party contracted Sidwell and Euphemia as porters.
Travel Action into the Rotforest. No Encounter.
After playing their flutes, the Deepwood lodge's chimney smoke appeared in the distance. Inside, Wispo, Bill, and Midnight spent all their souls (Bradivere is now available in the Deepwood Lodge). They gained access to the Brigand Caves and a couple Chaos Potions with their extra souls given to the fire.
Beyond the cave door into the Brigand caves was Reinheld with 3 other dwarves. After a tense moment (especially with Greedo) Morgan shared their story of clearing the cave. They settled on 3500gp for the entire cave system, to be confirmed in Thane’s Reach with Draugar and agreed to clear out the rest of the creatures for 50gp on the spot.
In the west side of the cave, they killed 6 giant centipedes in a tense fight crawling through water and crouching low to the 1m ceiling. Raden, Midnight, Morgan, and Wispo all contracted centipede poison for a varying amount of days. Wispo harvested centipede pincers after the fight.
Midnight and Üthred terminated a mother Echo Gecko with the help of Wispo’s Grasp of Yahzahar. Wispo harvested its throat.
In the cave beyond, they tried to break open two iron boxes. Bill wasn’t careful and a spring-loaded spike skerewed his arm. Inside was 500gp and 5 flasks of oil (ready for lighting) with notes written on them: “Eat this!” “Burn to hell!”
They camped in the cave (S1#12) that night seperate from the dwarves.
Wednesday of the 9th week of Winter. Bitter Cold.
The next morning they made their mark on the Stonehell gate to hell and set their course for Fourtower by way of the West King's Road.
Travel action across the Greenbottle Morrass to the West King's Road. No encounter.

They arrive safely without issues.
DOWNTIME
9th week of Winter. Full of sleet and bitter cold.
Bill offered a meal to Majken to get to know each other. She asked questions about his family and late wife. Bill said he’s been forgetting her due to the grief but has a son and daughter in law with 8 grandchildren. They were residents of Fourtower and his son was a logger like him. Majken is minorly impressed by his adventuring tales but gently flexed on his brags “That’s almost like when I defeated the head demon.” She thanked him for the meal and wished his family well with the gnoll problems.
Wispo, Midnight, and Morgan went on the town after a lucky dice game with Frode scoring Morgan 200gp. When all was said and done, Midnight dwarfed the spending of his buddies meager 400gp each with 1200gp, going into debt to Majken to find a religious artifact (of 300gp value). During the week, Morgan told of his experience barely surviving a drunken orc raid. He now has 2 HD.
